KGON was one of the first stations in the US to begin syndication of Little Steven's Underground Garage. It's one of the best shows on the radio that you would ever want to hear. Great music, attitude, and if you pay attention, you'll learn something too. But most of all, it's fun! Steven has been a member of the E Street Band for decades, and he was in The Sopranos, and is still acting, as well as being a champion for causes. This time, he wants to reunite The Rascals with an amazing show!

Danny Schauffler is not only the gifted sax player for the Crazy 8's, but a great session guy for many other players. The 8's went into the OMHOF a few years ago and have played at several of the induction concerts, so this is his second time being recognized for his musical contributions that keep our city rockin'. He is also a dear friend, who teaches music and makes an impact daily on young musicians. We talk about his career, teaching, and getting the honor once again. Iris catches up with Portland's own Duffy Bishop!

Duffy Bishop is a local treasure. She has shared a stage with the likes of Ruth Brown, John Lee Hooker, Lou Rawls, Bonnie Raitt, Shemekia Copeland, Bobby Blue Bland, Bill Champlin, and Bo Diddley who said "She's dangerous" when he played the Crystal Ballroom on his 75th birthday. Duffy and husband Chris Carlson are part of the rich musical landscape of Portland, and they have played KGON events through the years. Again, I'm coming into this as a fan, and I hope you enjoy catching up with her as much as I did!

KGON Alumni, Bob Ancheta, will be inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame

He's known as "The Big BA" around Portland. We've worked together at a couple of different radio stations, and twice here at KGON. BA hired me to work at KVAN in 1976 thus starting my Portland odyssey in radio, and I was able to return the favor when I hired him back to work at KGON in 1987.

Let me just say that when it comes to interviews, I'm a fan first, and then a radio geek, and some people have a problem with that. I can't help it when it comes to Journey. This band has provided the soundtrack to decades of great times in my life, and when it comes to Deen Castronovo there's a very special place in my heart for him. Deen was in the band Wild Dogs and they were on the KGON Album 2 with a song called "Born to Rock" which we played on the air when the album was released. Deen was just a pup then. Seriously, very young.

Jennifer Lauck, author of "Blackbird," "Still Waters," "Show Me the Way," has a new book dealing with her experience of adoption titled "Found." I was instantly hooked on the subject, since I too am adopted. Her journey has similarities to other stories of adoption but is unique in the discovery of the feeling of loss that comes with the situation, and how to overcome the difficulties associated with being adopted. Okay, I'll confess that Amy the KGON'sider and myself are great big geeks for this band. We love the production elements, the visuals, the musicians, the holiday feeling that you get when you are sitting in the Rose Garden Arena with wild pyrotechnics, lasers that rival any show on the planet, and well, there's Al Pitrelli. We LOVE this man to pieces. If TSO was a circus, we'd run away and join it!
