14:36 minutes Bill Champlin talks to Iris about his acoustic shows at Jimmy Mak's

As a huge Sons of Champlin fan, and just an overall fan of THE MAN, Bill Champlin, the upcoming two shows at Jimmy Mak's on October 13th will be legendary. One of the best storytellers I've ever met, Bill will be doing a singer/songwriter/storyteller solo show not to be missed. He talks about how the idea got started, the other shows of this kind that he has done, and other projects that are always in that very fertile creative brain of his. Enjoy the ride....Iris

15:19 minutes Iris catches up with Portland's own Duffy Bishop!

Duffy Bishop is a local treasure. She has shared a stage with the likes of Ruth Brown, John Lee Hooker, Lou Rawls, Bonnie Raitt, Shemekia Copeland, Bobby Blue Bland, Bill Champlin, and Bo Diddley who said "She's dangerous" when he played the Crystal Ballroom on his 75th birthday. Duffy and husband Chris Carlson are part of the rich musical landscape of Portland, and they have played KGON events through the years. Again, I'm coming into this as a fan, and I hope you enjoy catching up with her as much as I did!

16:26 minutes Greg Kihn talks to Iris Harrison about his new release.

In 1999, I was asked to join a group of radio folks on a once in a lifetime journey to London to broadcast at Abbey Road Studios, and much to my surprise, Greg Kihn, the rock star, was now in radio doing a morning show and was also on the trip. We had amazing days going to the studios and interviewing celebrities, and also had a chance to just hang out and enjoy London. Greg is funny, talented, and very cool to be around. He's still working for KFOX in the Bay Area, and we now work for the same company, Entercom.
