KGON was one of the first stations in the US to begin syndication of Little Steven's Underground Garage. It's one of the best shows on the radio that you would ever want to hear. Great music, attitude, and if you pay attention, you'll learn something too. But most of all, it's fun! Steven has been a member of the E Street Band for decades, and he was in The Sopranos, and is still acting, as well as being a champion for causes. This time, he wants to reunite The Rascals with an amazing show!

Danny Schauffler is not only the gifted sax player for the Crazy 8's, but a great session guy for many other players. The 8's went into the OMHOF a few years ago and have played at several of the induction concerts, so this is his second time being recognized for his musical contributions that keep our city rockin'. He is also a dear friend, who teaches music and makes an impact daily on young musicians. We talk about his career, teaching, and getting the honor once again. When Art Alexakis moved to Portland and formed his band, Everclear, it was the early 90's and KGON was still just a rock station, not Classic Rock, and we played their music. I asked Art about his musical influences, how he feels about the induction into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame, and how he would react to being played on a Classic Rock station. As a huge Sons of Champlin fan, and just an overall fan of THE MAN, Bill Champlin, the upcoming two shows at Jimmy Mak's on October 13th will be legendary. One of the best storytellers I've ever met, Bill will be doing a singer/songwriter/storyteller solo show not to be missed. Portland gets two TSO shows on the Sunday after Thanksgiving! That's like a big old Christmas present delivered by Santa himself! This year, we have a new show from Al Pitrelli and the TSO western touring band and we couldn't be happier. Here's the conversation with Iris and Al.

Lynyrd Skynyrd have released an incredible album called "Last of a Dyin' Breed" and the WHOLE album just rocks! Guitarist, Rickey Medlocke, takes a moment to talk about the album, the hurricanes that were brewing at the time, and what a Lynyrd Skynyrd cruise is like.

Duffy Bishop is a local treasure. She has shared a stage with the likes of Ruth Brown, John Lee Hooker, Lou Rawls, Bonnie Raitt, Shemekia Copeland, Bobby Blue Bland, Bill Champlin, and Bo Diddley who said "She's dangerous" when he played the Crystal Ballroom on his 75th birthday. Duffy and husband Chris Carlson are part of the rich musical landscape of Portland, and they have played KGON events through the years. Again, I'm coming into this as a fan, and I hope you enjoy catching up with her as much as I did!

Ever since the Crime of the Century album, I've been a huge Supertramp fan! Roger Hodgson talks about his time with the band, the main reason he left and took a break before the solo albums and tours. Also how it was to work with Ringo in the All Starr Band. The tour that is heading to the Oregon Zoo is going to be incredible! Prepare to be amazed.

Ian Hunter, lead singer for Mott the Hoople, has a new solo album on the way called "When I'm President" and it's more than just political! He explains the title, talks about his tour which will hit Portland on September 1st at the Aladdin, and tells great stories about how Great White got his song "Once Bitten Twice Shy" instead of Guns 'N' Roses, and why Cleveland ROCKS!
