10:49 minutes E Street Band member, former Crazy Horse member, and Grin member, Nils Lofgren talks to Iris about his album of Neil Young songs

Nils Lofgren is one of the best interviews in the world and one heck of a great guy. He has northwest ties too, with family living in this beautiful part of the country. He was also part of Crazy Horse and has a love of Neil Young's work. His vocals on "Only Love Can Break Your Heart" makes me cry every time. Nils also talks about Springsteen's band dealing with losing a founding member to cancer, and how he can teach you to play guitar online.

5:17 minutes Doobie Brother, Tom Johnston talks to Iris before the show at the Oregon Garden

I'm a Doobies fan, and the Tom Johnston material is absolutely my favorite. Nothing against Michael McDonald, but I love the Doobies when they rock, and the show at the Oregon Garden did just that. Tom talks about projects he's involved with including his daughter's musical career. I love a man who's also a great parent. Enjoy the chat.

3:27 minutes Founding member of The Zombies and his namesake band Argent, Rod Argent, talks to Iris

Being a big Zombies fan, and having interviewed Rod Argent and Colin Blunstone at Abbey Road in 1999, I was so pleased to see them get back together as a band and tour. What a show they put on! They do all the great Zombies songs, as well as songs from Argent and solo albums as well. This is the interview we had prior to their show at the Wonder Ballroom in 2008.

4:35 minutes Founding member of Fleetwood Mac, Peter Green, talks to Iris at Abbey Road

This is from the Abbey Road Interview archives. Peter Green was considered to be one of the best guitar players in the universe when Fleetwood Mac formed. He was and still is a sweet and fragile soul who was only into the music, not the rockstar part of the job. If you want the whole story about Peter, then check out Mick Fleetwood's book because he loved Peter very much. Anyway, I was lucky enough to have a chat with him at the Abbey Road sessions, and the thing I remember most is talking to him about the song "Oh Well." Enjoy.

10:38 minutes Roxy Music's Phil Manzanera chats with Iris at Abbey Road Studios

Roxy Music was one of those bands that just burrowed into my soul. Loved the vocals of Bryan Ferry, and loved the guitar of Phil Manzanera. "Avalon" will always be one of my favorite albums of all time. Phil was such a wonderful person to meet. He's always involved with some kind of project, and his involvement in world music was so interesting to me. Enjoy the interview.

6:38 minutes Lead guitar for Bad Company and Mott the Hoople, Mick Ralphs talks to Iris at Abbey Road Studios

In 1999, the most amazing thing happened. I was asked to join other broadcasters at Abbey Road Studios in London to interview an assortment of classic rock legends. One of my favorite moments was talking to Mick Ralphs, lead guitar player for Bad Company. He was warm and charming, and I felt like I had known him forever. We talk about his favorite Mott the Hoople song, Bad Company's catalog of songs about love, and I melted a whole lot when this man hugged me. Sigh. Miss you Mick! Hope Bad Company tours again. Enjoy this little trip down memory lane with me.

5:37 minutes Cream's legendary vocalist and bassist, Jack Bruce, chats with Iris at Abbey Road

When I did this interview at Abbey Road Studios in London, September 1999, we all thought there was no way in the world that Cream would ever perform together again. But they did. Jack Bruce brought along his wife and son to the interview sessions at Abbey Road Studios. As it turns out, his wife had ties to Oregon, so we got along very well. He answers questions such as what is his favorite Cream song to perform live? Who hasn't Jack played with?
How did Jack meet Ringo? Enjoy this little chat from London.
