14:34 minutes Paul O'Neill talks to Iris about TSO's 2013 Tour and more

On November 9th, I saw the final run through of Trans-Siberian Orchestra's 2013 production, in Iowa, where they use an arena for weeks to get the technical and musical elements of the show honed to profection. I have to say yet again, they just blew me away. I actually got to meet Paul O'Neill while I was there. He's a master magician of the TSO magic that happens each and every year. He is also one of the most down to earth, humble, kind and amazing people that I've ever met, and I've met a lot of people during 37 years in this crazy business.

Leslie West has been there and back. He's one hell of a guitarist, and we all know the mega hit Mississippi Queen from Mountain, a staple of all Classic Rock libraries. He's been to Portland for shows at the Aladdin and each time just blows away the audience. The best news is that he keeps getting better and better all the time! Not only health wise, but I have to say that the new album "Still Climbing" is fantastic! Song for song, it's so strong!

He's a cool guy, one hell of a guitar player, and one of my favorite rock stars of all time to talk to. Hope you enjoy the conversation about this year's show, and more.

15:53 minutes Marv and Rindy Ross of Quarterflash talk to Iris about their new album "Love is a Road."

The first time I saw Seafood Mama at Frankensteins, I remember thinking that Rindy Ross was the coolest rock chick ever! She not only had that amazing voice, but she also played SAX! Marv and Rindy Ross took the seeds of that band to a record deal, changed the name to Quarterflash, released a debut album that went platinum, and are part of Portland music royalty! Not only surviving and thriving in the music business, they are still together, and being in this business and still married is a very big deal. Believe me, I know.

Danny Schauffler is not only the gifted sax player for the Crazy 8's, but a great session guy for many other players. The 8's went into the OMHOF a few years ago and have played at several of the induction concerts, so this is his second time being recognized for his musical contributions that keep our city rockin'.
